Are there really many job opportunities?
The truth is that YES! As of today (May 2022) the job offer in Silicon Valley is high.
There is a lot of offer in almost all job categories. In practically all stores, restaurants, fast food, there are signs with the announcement "We Are Hiring".
The reason is that there are not enough people to cover the different jobs. Large companies are facing the same difficulties. In practically all large companies there are hundreds of vacancies. And we must consider that there is a lot of labor movement here, I mean, since it is free dismissal, if you don't like your job you go to another!
The job offer has changed after the pandemic. Now there are many more work options: “Remote, Hibryde...”. they need to attract talent, which is why many of them offer "signing bonuses".
Benefits generally include
Health insurance
annual bonus
Stock Options (depends on the company)
Dental and vision insurance
401K. It is a retirement plan where the company contributes one amount and you another.
The holidays will depend on what you negotiate with the company, but generally less than the 22 business days in Europe or Brazil (what I know). There are companies that allow you to work a number of days in other countries.
THE CV, Resume, must be adapted to the American “culture”. They focus the Resume on the results obtained. They always ask for a “Cover” Letter. There are people specialized in revising the CV and adapting it.

Of course, to work in the United States, you need a Work Permit.
NOT all visas allow you to work, so you have to research very well the type of visa you have.
This is my case, because of my husband's visa, if I am allowed to work, but applying for the work permit. I requested it in August 2021 and I received the authorization in April 2022.
The other option is to look for work from outside the USA and have the company sponsor you to issue your visa. In practically all the offers, they ask you if you have a work permit. Also if you have that permission, if in the future you will need a "sponsor" to renew it.
What I want to say is that they are very used to this situation.
"Curious" things they ask
Ethnicity (Hispanic or Latino, Indian, Asian…) there are limits in companies
If you are an American military veteran
If you have any disability
YES you are open to Relocation (change city or country)
If you want to work remotely, hybrid..
The salaries are high, yes, but you have to take into account the cost of living in Silicon Valley is very, very high.
Here a salary of $70,000 is considered low. But I talk about the cost of living in another post.
